I also had the same issue but it was due to Eve being pregnant. Once she had the baby and returned to school you can meet her in the hall to the auditorium in the afternoon to talk to her about the pad. That's what I happened to me anyway. |

Haven't had sex with Eve yet. So that isn't it. Thanks though for that tip. |

Once I completed a quest (the Dewitt quest) I was able to borrow the pad. |

i am on ross story line and i am supposed to borrow eve's pad and she is nowhere to be found i have completed jenny, debbie and diane routes so far. means i have also most of my stats maxed out except dex. Attached is my save i will start another play through and begin with ross line and see if it will change something 1-1-LT1.save (314,061 bytes) |

in my other playthrough i noticed the same issue until i went to the cafeteria and i noticed 2 things 1 ) annie was in the corridor, monitoring 2 ) i go in cafeteria, there is annie arguing with eve and kevin about the bag of chips once i resolved that issue, next day eve was having an argument with miss ross in the corridor next to the auditorium. resolve that, then next day she is next to chad and i was able to talk to her and get her backpack and continue my progression. so in case others have the issue where eve could not be found, this could be another scenario. |

I have noticed several of the events in the early portions Eve's story result in her either not being available in the hallway during the afternoon or being depressed and not willing to talk about anything. Unfortunately, you can only start the backpack/art pad segment with her in the afternoon in the school hallway. Not sure how Before 0.19 this wasn't so much of an issue, but she's linked directly to both early sections of Ross and mid through late stages of DeWitt's story. Currently, you have to ideally outright ignore Eve's story all together (don't even start it beyond initial introduction/interactions with her) or fully finish her story and make sure she isn't knocked up if you want to complete Ross' or DeWitt's routes. |

A pregnant Eve will also block Miss Ross' story when it gets to getting the ink. |

This is not a bug but a limitation imposed by the open quests system. It will not be corrected because it is impossible to prevent all interactions between the different stories without affecting the narrative. It's strongly recommended to stick to one route at a time. In your case, you already have to finish Eve's route before you can continue Ms. Ross'. |
