Summary | 0001238: Inconsistencies in the dialogue choices with Mia
Description | Version 0.17.0. See attachment. I don't want to be rude with those who work on Summertime Saga, but sometimes they make the game more confusing that it could be. An example with Mia: Steps to reproduce: 1. Progress in Miss Ross' storyline until she asks MC to talk to Mia. 2. Progress in Miss Dewitt's storyline until she asks MC to find volunteers. 3. Go in the science classroom in the morning, on a weekday. 4. Talk to Mia: you have the choice to talk about the homework, her parents, the Talent show or the art session. Issues: • Wait for the afternoon. • Go to Mia's house. • Talk to Mia: you only have the choice to talk about the homework. • Then progress in Miss Bissette's storyline until she asks MC to write about food. • You now have access to the entrance of Mia's house. • Enter inside Mia's house in the afternoon. • Talk to Mia: you only have the choice to talk about the Talent show. Solutions: • The choices that don't require a specific location, time of day or another character to take place, should be available. • In this example, adding the talent show, the art session or her parents choices in these three locations don't break anything. But it makes the gameplay more consistent, and less confusing. • Of course, the developers shouldn't add these choices everywhere (not in the library, not in Mia's bedroom).

This will be addressed in a future update. Some dialogue choices currently are locked to certain locations, but will be more free flowing in the future.
