This sounds like a hardware/operating system issue. Would you be able to provide some basic system information such as how much memory your system has and which version of Windows you're running, please? |

Windows 11, virtual machine (vmware, never had an issue before for years of playing), 32 GB of RAM allocated, 150 GB HDD. Also, it is not restricted to sex scenes or Debbie scenes. After the game has been running for a certain length of time it will freeze no matter what is happening. I have only been able to progress by saving every few minutes. |

Update...I tried with an older version of my VM and I don't have the freezes. VM 25h1 and up has freezes (updating the machine itself) while VM 14.x has no issues. As part of the 25h1 app update it allowed you to update the VM machine to various compatibility versions |

That it works on older VMs but not newer ones suggests that the problem is with the VM, not with the game itself, or even Ren'Py. I would recommend filing an issue with whichever VM software provider you're using, there's not really anything we can do if a VM upgrade breaks the game despite it functioning fine in more typical environments. |
