Summary0003691: Pizza delivery minigame
DescriptionIn the pizza delivery minigame, if you pause the game in any form, be it to save or even by accident, the minigame will continue to run in the background, meaning as soon as you unpause, you will fail since all the houses have already been passed by. It's not a huge bug, but it is inconvenient, especially if you're grinding for money and accidentally hit a menu button, costing you a time slot with no profit for that day. I don't know how a workaround could be found for that, maybe having the minigame reset if you come back from a menu, thereby negating the need for it to actually pause the minigame in the background.

The pizza mini-game isn't in 0.21 yet. And they don't care about 0.20 anymore

Apologies, put the wrong version, lol, and was unaware of that situation

"They don't care about 0.20 anymore" sounds a bit harsh in my opinion. A better way to put it is "they have lots of exciting stuff coming for newer versions and thus spending time in 0.20 isn't nearly as good as spending more time in 0.21".
I do however agree that this may not be apparent because the roadmap doesn't really do a good job of outlining all the things that we can look forward to.

While there are no plans to further update the 0.20.x release series with focus having shifted to 21.x, to say we don't care is misleading. We do occasionally scan through reports coming in against the 0.20.x series to find bugs and suggestions that are still pertinent to our work on 21.x either to be avoided (in the case of bugs) or incorporated (in the case of suggestions), such as this one.

At least so far as I am aware, there's no easy solution to pausing mini games in Ren'Py, and while this issue will be far less impactful in 21.x due to the restored ability to rollback, it is something I'd like to address that was not previously on our radar, so thank you for the report. I'll ensure that it's fed into the necessary design discussions around time-based mini games going forward. :)
