Goto System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> General and enable any blocked app from Allow apps downloaded from pane at the bottom of the window. |

It's prevented some of my older apps from opening, too. |

The research I’ve done about this issue is that developers can pay a $100/year for a license and to certify their software for usage I Nate macOS ecosystem. |

@bobuches, is that os 10.15.4? Since the last OS update, they've taken that option away from the user. |
