Did not happen to me, so it might be a hardware issue? Or it is uncommonly reproducible/ something triggers it beforehand.
Were you able to go out of the house? Was the map not available there? Did you do any quests beforehand, which might have triggered this?

Bought the house and immediately slept during midday, then went to kitchen then to front door. The notice map icon was not available.

Going to beach doesn't help either

I've learned that if you follow Consuela's storyline, then buy the house when needed, there isn't an issue

maybe it is due to cheats enabled ?

I followed main story until i got maria, tina and josephine pregnant. I then bought the house and was able to sleep inside and interact with the minimap as normal. (still haven't done anything regarding Consuela's route yet) Maybe it only occuring for those doing a playthrough with cheats enabled ?

Attached is a save i took immediatly after waking up from the house, going downstairs and exiting the house.

The issue has been fixed in version 0.20.1. Please download and install the latest version of Summertime Saga.
The beachhouse is now not purchasable during the first week
