Summary0002417: Miss Bisset's story wastes multiple entire days
DescriptionNot specific to 0.19 but has been something of an annoyance for a long time.
Many of Miss Bisette's story points "waste" an entire day. When turning in her homework assignments in the morning, you are then taken immediately to her tutoring sessions in the evening, and must then immediately go to bed afterwards.

You lose multiple entire days along her route if you turn in any of her homework assignments as the first thing in the morning because of this. All of the other teachers' assignments, excluding the end of story teacher sex of course, only take up a single day segment. This makes sense for attending a single class.

While several of the teacher assignments might require multiple actions that use up single day segments, you still have the option of completing one portion then completing/turning in the assignment at a later time or date. Only Bisette's can eat an entire day.

Examples
* For DeWitt, you can do the entire flute finding and building in the morning and have the afternoon and evening available to either finish up with the flute and class plus have the evening available afterwards.
* Otika's tasks can generally be accomplished within a single time frame of the day, and when turned in during the morning still leave you free for the afternoon and evening.
* For Ross, you can find Mia in the morning still get something else done as you must wait for Eve to be in the hall in the afternoon, retrieve the art pad and turn it in for the actual class with Ross and still have the evening available to complete some other task.
* For Bisette, if you turn in either the cheese or romance poetry assignments in the morning your day is over as it goes immediately from the appropriate class session cut scene straight to the evening tutoring session which ends with no more time available for that day.

The other teachers may have similar assignments that behave in this manner, but almost all of Bisette's consume entire days if turned in during the morning.

Best suggestion would be to visit her in her office during the evening to actually trigger the tutoring sessions instead of jump cutting straight from the classroom lessons to the tutoring sessions at night.

I also noticed the 2nd vibrating belt event for Miss Otika (where you must help her remove the belt in her office) does this as well. If done in the morning, the game will jump straight from Morning to Evening and simply delete the afternoon. I don't remember this event/cut scene it taking up 2/3 of the day in previous versions to 0.19

In terms of gameplay, it's preferable that actions that take place within the same step go on without holdoff time.

Despite the recommendations, players play multiple stories simultaneously, and get lost or stuck because they don't finish the step already initiated (and I'm not even talking about finishing a whole route). Adding locks, either by locking locations or by speeding up daytime, limits this risk. It also makes the storytelling more fluent at the expense of a loss of freedom. That's why this choice is used sparingly.

So I understand – as a gamer who knows the game – that there is a demand for more “open world”, but I am convinced that this will not make the game easier for novices, nor the work easier for developers.
