Summary | 0001521: Goal Tracker hints too early that Mia sents MC a message
Description | See attachment. Steps to reproduce: 1. Progress in Mia's storyline until she shows MC her tattoo. 2. Helen catches them. 3. MC is teleported outside. 4. Open the Goal Tracker. 5. Mia's statut has been updated "Talk to Mia to find out[...]." 6. Go to MC's bedroom. 7. MC says he doesn't believe I will see Mia gain. 8. Open the Goal Tracker. 9. Mia's statut has been updated "Mia sent you a message." Issue: • We don't have any message from Mia. • We receive Mia's message later when sleeping. Solution: • Mia's statut should be updated only at the beginning of the next scene: when MC is woken up by his phone.

There are two states for mia: the first before MC goes to sleep, the second after he reads the message. But the Goal Tracker must be updated when he receives the message, so after the first and before the second The correction is not easy. I think the best solution is to add a new state between S_mia_midnight call and S_mia_midnight_help. The new state would be triggered when player.receive_message("mia01"). The state would say "Mia sent you a message.". So, one new state + one new trigger + a few testing should do the job. Again, sorry to give you more work to do! |
|
Also, MC has an illogical behaviour when he receives the message: - MC says "[he] should see who it is." - If we click on the door, it's locked. MC says "[he] should check [his] text messages." - If we click on the bed, it's not locked. MC goes back to sleep. Then he receives the exact same message again. So, Mia's message can be received multiple times. See attachment. - If MC reads Mia's message, then MC says "[he] should go see her now." The bed is locked and the door is unlocked. It's not really a bug, but this behaviour could be improved if MC's bed is locked right after he wakes up. As the message is urgent, he should not be able to go back to sleep. |
|
To be noted that the bed is locked when MC receives the second message from Mia, when Harold is missing.
